My brother was severely wounded and his buddies were unalived during the war. When he was finally able to be brought home he started drinking. He never stopped. He said the only thing that made him stop remembering was being passed out from drinking. Doctors told him he was k!££!ng himself but he didn’t care, he just wanted to stop remembering. He died two years ago. I pray he’s finally at peace. PTSD is laughing matter, it’s nothing that the person can just “deal with” or “forget about”. And, it doesn’t just affect the person who has PTSD; the family goes through hell trying to love, comfort and live with the person with PTSD. If you’re not affected then count your blessings.

Marine vet. still dealing with lost of friends and brothers and my wife tells me every day "it's gonna be okay" as she sees tears running down my face just from memories. The war still in my mind
