😡 Sergeant Henry Johnson was a black man who single-handedly fought off many German soldiers to protect his platoon while they were sleeping. even though he succeeded, he was permanently injured. and he never even got the Medal of Honor for his heroics. and he was never compensated for the injuries he sustained during the war, so he ended up dying on the streets homeless. I believe he not so long ago finally was rewarded the middle of Honor which is ridiculous
