vindictive or not, if he's guilty it makes no difference who turned him in. evidence got it this far, now the letter of the law should, prosecute him and let the evidence show quilty or not guilty. let's save taxpayers some money,and stop the he said she said. let trial begin, and look at all evidence presented. hopefully the judge makes a fair and equal judgement and sentence.
