9 BILLION in FOOD STAMPS is Ridiculous!!!!! Start REALLY LOOKING at WHO is receiving these WELFARE Benefits. I have seen a LOT of ABLE BODY people who could work and be able to provide themselves food. They have expensive cell phones, nails done and makeup. I thought WELFARE was for the people THAT COULD NOT WORK!!! Elderly and Disabled. If you have enough money to pay to get your nails done and have an expensive cell phone with lots of apps, YOU CAN PAY FOR YOUR Existence!!

I work and i’m a disabled Veteran. This is fucking disgusting though. This should never happen in America. I’m a Trump supporter, but this is definitely a stain on his presidency. If he’s the big dog he should never let this happen no matter what.

So Governor Rhoden “rejects” using state funds for SNAP — yet South Dakota has over $400 million sitting in reserves. Feeding families during a federal shutdown is exactly what “rainy day” money is for. Democrats only asked to cover about $45 million — that’s three months of food assistance for struggling families, less than 12% of what’s in the bank. Rhoden claims it’s a “federal issue,” but when people can’t eat, that’s a human issue. The state does have the money — he’s just choosing not to help.

It’s heartbreaking that there are people who are disabled, veterans, homeless,elderly who are in dire need of food but most of all prescriptions for people who need whatever medicine. Are these people being left not able to afford? I’m not sure with these things shut down what is what for the people who need.

I read some where that Colorado won't be getting snap. I am a disabled person who works lives in a shitty one bedroom house with three of us. we wear second hand clothes that's all I can afford. I am a trump supporter and I don't agree with this. I might not have a huge income but thankfully blessed enough to buy some groceries in this economy.
