Trump inherited a mess and he's trying to turn things around. I say if he can bring in beef because our ranchers are too greedy to make meat affordable, then do it! Sounds like cattle ranchers have been mismanaging their herds for some time.
The beef industry said that they had a shortage of cattle because of drought stricken regions here in the United States and that has raised prices on beef so much so if our cattle ranchers can’t produce enough beef to feed us American people then why shouldn’t we import beef at least till our ranchers can’t produce enough produce enough cattle to at least cut prices on the most important part of the beef and that’s ground beef that lower middle class people that make to much for snap or the senior citizens on social security that don’t qualify for snap because ground beef you can do so much with !!
Why is ground beef presently $6 + a lb ?? They are pricing themselves right out of the market. Their GREED will be their undoing. Very similar to what the United States steel industry did to itself back in the 70's. It became cheaper to import the steel from overseas . There is absolutely no reason for the current beef prices in America other than greed. A cut of "PORK TENDERLOIN" goes for $3.30 + or - . I haven't bought beef in years. They can keep their red meat !!
