The upside of the government shutdown is that more people will be fired resulting in a much leaner federal government which Republicans have been dreaming about for years and no activist, left-wing judge will be able to do anything about it. Plus, with so many federal workers losing their jobs, the real estate market in Northern Virginia and Maryland will shift from being a sellers market to a buyers market as the fired government employees look to unload their homes before the banks foreclose. The winners most certainly will be first time home buyers and real estate agents.There are always winners out of other people's misery.
This is about keeping affordable health care for millions of citizens. Hey give citizens universal health care like our legislators have. Tax the higher incomes, eliminate insurance companies that are ripping off the government . Simple. Healthcare for all. Most countries in the world have this system.
