Yes, interfering with a federal agent while they are performing official duties is a crime under U.S. law. Specifically, 18 U.S.C. § 111 makes it illegal to forcibly assault, resist, oppose, impede, intimidate, or interfere with a federal officer or employee engaged in their official duties. This applies to agents such as those from the USBP, HSI, ICE, FBI, DEA, ATF, or other federal agencies.
