just so you know it takes 60 votes to pass something threw the senate and there is only 53 republican seats. so by the math the republicans all voted to keep it open and the democrates all voted against it thus keeping the government closed. which is why Trump mentioned something about getting rid of the fillibuster so they could force the government back open because they do have majority votes in the senate with 53 but 53 is still less than the required 60
