He has to try to get asylum before his stay gets challenged in Federal court due to El Salvador's extremely low murder rate coupled with the fact he was placed among those he claimed would kill him in CECOT, and was not even touched. You need to prove your fears are more than 50% likely to happen if you are returned to your home country in order to get a stay. Asylum seekers only need to prove a 10% likelihood.
