I don't understand the term "THE AMERICAN EXPERIMENT" What is trying to be answered or tested. How are we going to know when it's been answered. I said the Pledge every morning in school. This blk female student would say loudly "And Liberty and Justice For Some". I listened to the words and she was right, everything thing is not being applied to me so I stopped saying it. In my social studies class, we were asked, "What do you think about Jesse Jackson (in 1984) running for president?" This wyt female student said, "THE WORLD IS NOT READY FOR A BLACK PRESIDENT." That made me start asking WHY when I was told NO and I saw other people doing it. I didn't take "Because I said so." for an answer. My teachers stopped call on me. I would raise my hand before moving on to the next topic. If I was cut off, I stayed after class and/or arrived early the next day. I was born after the Civils Rights Act (1964). 61yrs later, and the WORLD is still not ready?🤔
