I love to hear other people talk about! It wasn't just Slavery, it was Chattel slavery! A brutal system, primarily practiced in the Americas from the 16th–19th centuries, where enslaved people were legally defined as personal property (chattel) to be bought, sold, and inherited for life. It was enforced through violence, dehumanized individuals as commodities, and was legally sanctioned by European powers and the US.
