It surprises me how people lack comprehension of things, she's repeating what residents are telling/asking her. This is being spun in a way by the media to cast a bad light on the administration. There is a process that state governors office must go through to request aid, then the type of aid to restore essential services. A later and separate aid request gets compiled to ask for money to rebuild and fix things, help replace peoples possessions, prevention etc. So far the administration has approved the emergency requests to mobilize assets to deal with immediate needs.
FEMA with DOGE, didn't both get disbanded. The president to busy negotiating with Russia to worry about what happening in American state. Biden might have been sleepy, but he would wake up and fulfill his presidential duty. Besides Trump overseeing renovation.
