You have to work to get food stamps. I don't understand why people can't comprehend that. You're only exempt if you are disabled, senior or just had a baby. Other than that, a person has to work so many hours a week to get food stamps.
What scares me is how bad the streets are going to get because their hungry. People will do anything to save their children especially if their hungry or hurt and then the people who are just mad because they can't get their snap. Everyone is talking about people being lazy and not working and has anyone thought how much crime, theft, death etc is going to happen because of this. Everyone needs to be careful and watch your purses, wallets, children during this crazy time. No one has even mentioned how bad it's gonna get on the streets.

I dgad about who's working or not. I worked all my life, I'm 64 and always paid taxes. Snap is one I don't mind because...those people have kids, if they the parents will not feed them I will..also elderly and disabled need the snap. And how are the disabled and elderly going to get to food banks.

So the more the illegal immigrants are on the United States programs then the American citizens have less even if it takes away from those that really need to be on it. I work 40hrs a week, 30$ hr, and still get foodstamps. I really dont understand some of yall arguments. People who CANT work also receive stamps Elderly receive foodstamps. Yall so quick to try to put people down calling them lazy.

Nobody forced you to live in a high priced apartment. We bought 10 acres of land and paid it off over time. My husband built our house with his own 2 hands while we lived in a tiny travel trailer. We have a beautiful little 2 bedroom house that we've lived in for almost 30 years. It took time and a lot of hardwork but we did it. The problem with people today is they have no ambition,no desire to work. My husband started his own roofing company and a chimney sweep business. We grow a huge garden every year. We don't depend on the government to feed us,house us,or clothe us.Never have and never will. Because we have determination,we work hard,we don't spend money on frivilous things. THAT'S CALLED DOING THINGS THE AMERICAN WAY.

well I was told today by my worker at DHHR that there's been nothing in the making for WV that the governor was distributing funds to food banks not DHHR. I work mon-fri so I can't make it to food banks so it doesn't help me at all. Sadly I have to let my bills be late to feed my kid

35 years ago i found out i was pregnant and a few days later... i got layoff from work, not because i was pregnant- it was the company yearly layoff policy, anyway around 4 months of pregnancy i applied for the free benefits and was denied and actually i have been working ever since; except for when i went to college; i pray for those that's really unable to do any work and for all the children that God make a way out no way. Let this be a wake up call for all us! ❤️✌🏾🙏🏾
