If the state and city elected officials in NYC were asked that question, I wonder what their response would be? We have tens of thousands citizens here at the lower end of the socioeconomic spectrum who are struggling to find or pay for what little affordable housing we have and it is reported that at least 500 thousand illegal migrants are now here in NYC. I am certain that 500 thousand illegals would be a factor to consider regarding the housing issue. I also wonder why our elected officials did not think about a question like that before becoming a sanctuary city.

The price of housing goes up when the supply of homes for sale go down. In this example with 11-12 million immigrants entering the country and absorbing the available housing. The housing availability will decline (supply goes down) and housing prices will go up ⬆️
