punishment for crimes in the US are unreasonably steep! 30 years? 30 years in a cell...really think about how long that is to be in a prison. judges throw around decades at a time for crimes. isnt it obvious the fear of prison isnt enough to change anyone's decisions. when people feel murder is necessary, they murder. doesnt make it right but wasting away for 30 years on American tax dollars in a prison is a waste of time and money. laws and law enforcement is great and I support that, but the punishment for crimes is total bullshit.
