American money actually built Chinas' military and manufacturing base. Our politicians have sold us out for decades thru unfair trade deals buying Chinesse products instead of making them here.They have allowed China and other foreign countries to buy up 1000's of acres of our farmland, ranches, and food processing facilities across our country.This should not be allowed to happen but it is. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, under Obama, sold Russia 20% of our uranium resources in the US. What is uranium used for you might ask, nuclear weapons that's what. Our politicians have been literally giving away and selling our countries security for decades. We have made China and economic and military superpower. We won't have to worry about China or Russia destroying us from the outside, because we are destroying ourselves from the inside.

Neutrality The 1977 Torrijos-Carter Treaties transferred the canal to Panama and guaranteed its permanent neutrality. This ensures the canal remains open to vessels of all nations on an equal basis. The U.S. reserved the right to use military force if necessary to defend the canal's neutrality.

We signed a treaty to give the canal back. It was economically important up to and including WWll. The importance of operating, maintaining it and just keeping it isn't nearly as important now. China is not running the panama canal. It is run by Panama and belongs to Panama. It was a french company that started building it and went bankrupt selling it to the US. The US gave Panama $10 million to lease the land. The US didnt buy the land. The land was leased for 99 years. It no longer belongs to the US. If you lease land and build a shed on that land when the lease is up it no longer is yours. Panama also built brand new extensions much wider than the previous ones. All China has is a port at both ends to handle shipments that stop there avoiding the need to pay to cross the canal just to unload shipments for that area. A US company that trump is a major stick holder in bought 90% of those 2 ports. In other words trump and other share holders have come up with a sneaky plan to take control of the canal from panama. China isnt trying to take over the canal.
