Almost a week since my dad found out who I really am. Long nights on the road, feeling distant and missing the only person who used to understand me. Love feels different now—conditional and heavy. Sometimes, the quiet becomes ...

Just for it to go into drainage and back into OUR water supply
they flush them yearly
it's called settlement.. dirt from line breaks and other pipe flow disruptions. they flush out the lines 2times a year in big cities !
Do they even do that anymore?
But why can’t fires be fought with dirty water? Does it act like gasoline?
so what now, is it racist to put dirty water on a fire now. didn't see a protest about fires rights
It’s just rust build up in side the fire hydrants, not inside the water pipe, I’ve been doing this for 40 years.
Its everyones dogs pee thats why
Does the water have to be clean to use for a fire?
Sometimes idiots take the caps off and put junk inside. We were taught to open the valve before hooking up the equipment to flush out any debris.
Really? firefighters? The public water workers do that, so they can test the hydrants so they work when the firefighters need them. And they clean the system out by flushing all hydrants in the town if they can. I respect all the firefighters do, hats off to all. But give credit where its do
That's California's drinking water, Don't waist it.
Ya’ll leave them alone. They save lives. If y’all see them thank them. These heroes might be saving you or your babies next week. I stand for fireman 🙏🏼
you would think by now they'd have a ratcheted wrench lol
The amount of people that can’t comprehend or imagine a single valid reason for every aspect of this scenario… it’s troublesome to me.
see that's the one thing with sprinkler systems also is that nobody cleans them out and so when they're needed they don't operate.
ex firefighter here 1 reason to flush hydrants is arsonists will fill with gas so when truck hooks up you spray gas on a fire
You need the real JESUS
rusty pipes?
Secure your oxygen mask, it’s driving me insane.
took him long enough to open it. house could have burned down by the time he got it open.
Why would you be in full gear jus to release some water from a hydrant ?
They clean the line out so the water can flow through the hose without clogging the firehose nozzle.
Ahh yess... The Gen X hydration system... thats part of the reason most of us are indestructible now!! 😆
it look like testing firehydrants, depending on states 1 or 2 a year
must be a rookie making him wear every piece of gear
that sediment can also cause methane pockets.
Ok…why?
Rust
and the reason iisss???
wth
rusty water . from old lines . flushing keeps corrosion down and lines clear or sediment .
We do this every year hydrant maintenance , It lets us know if they hydrants need to be serviced. And we also flush it into a water truck until the water is crystal clear ! Fire department in my area only use the hydrants if there is a fire .
well since it is tied to your drinking water it is supposed to be flushed every so often because hydrants and dead ends
Sediment builds up and when a fire happens and they open and no water big problem for everyone one 😂
they're actually letting air out of the system
remember this righty tidy Lefty Lucy
rust is the enemy, even in homes
That's definitely not LA... 🤔
next do video that says this is why wasp stings hurt, then show a guy get hammered by a hornet and then don't say anything else especially if it answers the question.
as a kid we cut off ends of soup cans and use it to direct the water from a hydrant to shoot water like a cannon. yeah. a waste of water.😂
so play in it😂
This prevents damage to the truck's pump by removing any rusted particles from the underground pipes.
Great… another Fireman creating water quality complaints & water hammer
It’s called ‘burping’ the hydrant
Looks like that wasn’t done last time
This is true, and they do this all around the United States in the city areas, so all the dirt and settlement wind up in people houses nearby thru tap water.💧 This is how they've been controlling the neighborhood with chemicals and fluoride.⚠️
