This is why they are trying to whitewash our history in a many cases, erase it and pretend like it never happened, but we know what happened. We know the bigotry, the cruelty, the murder, the rape, and we will never forget.
The fact that things like this are hidden instead of taught is crazy to me , I’ve learned so much on my own than in a class with a book that isn’t accurate at all!!! The books they teach out of are incorrect !!! I’ve wrote letters , I’ve emailed ..no one cares y’all !!!! Why not teach the truth …it’s actually awful but it’s truth !!! And do you know how many black inventors there are ??? Do you know a black woman invented air conditioning?? No of course you didn’t !!!!! And that’s a damn problem !!! I sob from deep within my soul, carrying the weight of what my black brothers and sisters have gone through from the beginning of time my soul is heavy and shattered, but don’t get me wrong. I don’t have hatred for anyone because they were a lot of white people that gave their lives protecting African-American people so I love all people that would love me. This story shatters my soul. I am going through deep racism against me where I live at in Livingston, Texas at the hands of neighbors that’s mentality stems from 1865 and they’ve been abusing me my wife and my son ever since we moved there the racism in this town is very thick 30% of every race here hate each other for no reason at all they found out I was Puerto Rican The harassment began, and is still going on for the past two years. I am heartbroken, but these brothers inside this picture went through that and all my brothers and sisters that are African-American Puerto Ricans minorities have suffered in this country and we continue to suffer. I wish people would just stop being so hateful and just love each otherbut that’s never gonna happen.
