I tell you honestly I'm 71 years old. I used to be a bartender in Manhattan and if that walked into the bar where I worked. Yes be all pretty but also have respect for yourself. My ex best friend and me would always go to the country club and dance guys would talk to us I was friendly yes but they would go with her first and then I had them talk to me saying they wish they had tried to date me cause I never went home with anyone I did not sleep around and they learned the hard way. I raised my three kids without there druggie father! Tried to get child support out of him and got $36.00 a week from him for about two weeks! He kept running away to three different states! My family could help only just so much and I had to get help from social services and catholic charities, food pantries! It’s been 40 years and they all turned out good! College, married with houses! I put a lot of myself, time- which you don't get back, and feel very unappreciated when I've gone all out, I've met in the middle, Ive pushed through silly arguments and given everything to keep the relationship and I still lose it bc she fell out of love, or I wasn't there enough type stuff. It's hard to put yourself out there when you know you won't get back what you put in.
Men also have started to teach their sons to have a car, job for at least 7 yrs, and paying on a house they are buying before they try settling down. Reason for this is? So the power is on their side, and it keeps women from thinking they can call the shots and kick you out of their home when they want to. I learned this after having kids with a single mom that got her house from a divorce. I lost one house and almost a second. Thanks to a lawyer friend of mine, I had this planned when I started my second marriage. Now I teach my sons this.
