I've been to Yellowstone twice in my life. The rangers tell you the rules. There was a bear up in a tree. This idiot got out of his car and tried to take a picture. The bear saw him and came flying down the tree!! Lucky he made it to his car.As for the dog ,you don't want to be near mama bear and her kids.One swipe of that paw ,your dog is a gonner. You need to be at least a 100 yards fom bears and wolves and at least 25 yards from bison and elk.
