when I was 45 years old I had a stroke that Dr's didn't know if I would survive and if I did didn't think I would walk or talk again. I recovered and was able to return to work .3 months later I had a 2nd stroke . my Dr said I had to quit working. I was 46 and it devastated me. God pulled me through that. I still had residual issues. But I got to experience thing I would not if I was working. I was a foster parent prestroke. my ex wife continued to foster parent . we ended up adopting two little girls. The 2nd one was born drug exposed and came to us with a colostomy bag. the Dr's reversed it when she was a year old and has never had a problem with it She recently graduated Navy boot camp. I was able to go on field trip with my daughters as well as my granddaughters. which would not have been possible if I was working. before my stroke I was a widower at 32 years of age with a 1 year old and 2 and a half year old. God got me through it
