I believe that eve knew better and she didn't tell Adam when offered him their food, this why women have been punished with the menstrual cycle and men punish with having to deal with their wives for 5 days of HELL, BUT THIS IS MY POINT OF VIEW

Then the Lord God made a woman from the rib he had taken out of the man, and he brought her to the man. Genesis 2:22 Eve later made from Adam’s rib.
