It’s not real but I am sad to say it happened with HOAs. Mine was like this in Charleston, SC. It was horrible! They would come out and measure the grass height!!! I hated them. People like them because you won’t have people in the neighborhood that have junk out in the yard but they get ridiculous because people that have never had authority all the sudden have it and get power hungry and act insane like it matters 1 while extra inch!!! And if you don’t comply by paying the fine they put a lien on your house. They did it to me when I fought back on top of the dues you have to pay monthly or yearly!!! I was so happy to move!!!!

why would anyone in their right mind buy anything especially an expensive home where these stupid rules would apply?? I have a home in a rural area with 42 acres of land and I do whatever in the hell I want here cause I pay the damn mortgage
My old HOA told me I had to get rid of a birdbath because it was 1 inch too tall. I dug a hole 2 inches deep and put the birdbath in it so it was now 1 inch under the rules.
