Ours was like that but midi skirt had come into style. I didn’t like kneeling so I wore midi skirts no more kneeling for me. Private school. Public school could wear what ever in the early 1970’s

had to kneal just like that at public school while they measured my skirt and then I got sent home. my mom was so mad. they also paddled the boys with a huge paddle. and yes the first girl was Maise Williams, aka Aryra Stark!

I went to Catholic school for a few years and we had to go to daily mass before school. The Principal was a nun and looked at my skirt as I was walking up the steps into church- she made ME kneel on the floor. My skirt did NOT touch the floor so I had to call my mother, who was at WORK, to come get me to go home to change my skirt and then drop me off back at school; she then went back to work. she called the school after we got home after school/ work and gave HER a piece of her mind! That nun could have let me stay and not wear that skirt again to school😠. My mom was PISSED!

I went to a parochial school in high school. My skirt was to short ABC the pastors wife said she was gonna make an example of me and paddle me in front of the school. I got my momma in the phone and she told the pastors wife that if she paddled me that my momma was gonna come to the school and paddle her in front of the entire school. Needless to say I never got paddled but I did keep wearing my favorite skirt. 🤣🤣🤣 True story.

went to all girls high school. our uniform was 2 inches above knee kneeling. Most of us had the problem of growing taller in high school. I started at 5 foot and graduated at 5 foot 5 inches! My skirt and jumper were totally let out and kneeling i think it was 4 inches. Nothing they could do.

There was no kneeling at our school. The edge of the skirt was to hit mid knee cap I believe. It was mid to late 1960s.

in a public school we had to endure this: the principal had a measuring ruler,and all girls had to kneel down and have our skirts measured from the floor up. senior boys gathered to enjoy the show every morning.
