Bacon has nothing to do with it, the prison has dirty water and they need to get to the medical ward to sneak out. During lunch he drinks water on a day when the warden is walking the grounds, he times it just right and becomes violently sick in his presence. The warden becomes disgusted at the sight and orders him to be taken to the medical ward.

yeah because they sell bacon in jail and prison that's right. also we get steak every Wednesday and every salmon every Friday. that's just pissing me off. society has no idea what the system is like.
