I’m not sure he’s all there but he walked up on this scene where the cop is so he has a right to question him. I can’t see what’s going on but answering simple questions doesn’t hurt this young man and detaining him and putting handcuffs on him doesn’t hurt him. The cop needs to be sure he’s safe. Too many crazy people killing cops these days just because they’re cops. They have a right to fear for their safety.

The young man is autistic. He doesn’t have the mental capacity to make up a false story so efficiently. Autistic people are exceptional honest. He probably hasn’t stolen anything. What he said is that is girlfriend lives here, not “Lindsey.” Emily told him to meet her at Dollar General. Upon arrival at Dollar General, Kenny called Emily and she then told him to start walking a mile in the direction he was walking. From this information, the police had no cause to detain or question him, much less handcuff him. Sorry, but the cop lied more than Kenny.
Not sure what the problem is. Everyone carries their inheritance around in their backpack. Totally normal.

Unlawful under the 4th amendment. They have no reasonable suspension that the dude had committed a some crime, was making crime, or is about to commit a crime. They have reasonable cause to even ask for his name or cuff him up.🤔
I saw the rest of the video.He had stolen the money. He had been reported as checking places out and not being where he was supposed to be. And there was something about harassment as well. He went to jail.

What was their initial reason for stopping this young man? No wonder his responses are not straight-forward: he's scared! Not out of guilt, but scared of being shot for no reason! Cops are seldom prosecuted for shooting suspects. All they have to say is that they were in fear of their lives!

I feel sure this young man has down syndrome. My son has Downs and he couldn't tell you the last name and sometimes gets first names confused at times. I would not call him a thief (no one really knows what is in the backpack). Saving quarters is something my mother would to gift to her grandson. Everyone is so quick to judge, I would be more worried about someone manipulating him.
