The lesser producers used to have try and entice people to come on the show by promising they’d get big judgements. Judge Judy always minimized things to save her show money. And she’s worth hundreds of millions of dollars. Judge Judy proved too miserly to accept this show as a substitute for real court. And I think she was wrong for starting the newer show without this bailiff. He was her bailiff all those years - no appreciation or sharing the wealth. She’s just another abrasive, rich New Yorker.
