He should have never been that close to begin with someone screwed up , these things are unpredictable and violent especially during mating or when they have babies. These are certainly animals never meant for captivity.

first of all, if we'd stop putting animals in these enclosures like their puppies and kitties, they wouldn't have this problem. a hippo is the most Savage thing you can encounter so keep playing with it. we need to leave animals where they're at where they're supposed to be not in enclosures
