Always MAKE THEM FIRE YOU!! Receive unemployment while a lawyer prepares your wrongful termination suit. 😁👍😎
check 1st to see if you work in a state that is "at will" cause 99% there really doesn't have to be a reason to be fired.
It's called wage theft when they want you there but don't want to pay you for being there early.
let them fire you, then sue for wrongful termination and hostile work environment. he sounded pretty hostile to me.
HR is NOT your friend
He's demanding 45 minutes of unpaid work. That is so wrong
Let's us know what happened
beautiful absolutely beautiful 😍 stand your ground ❤️ ♥️ you are a beautiful woman
talking to a lawyer now
This manager seems to be making up His own rules . And if she is a contract worker and in her contract is says her hours are from 0900 -1800 , he cannot do this to her .. the reason he gave her was not a good reason for her being late . . 😲🤔
Having worked a job that my work started at 0645 but I was expected to start at 0615 or earlier I understand her. We were not paid until 0645. I did this for years. I wonder how much back pay I am entitled to. I did it because I learned my day went much smoother if I arrived and started early.
Nine o’clock is nine o’clock!! That doesn’t mean eight fifteen !! Why should she work unpaid for forty-five minutes? Their rules should have been explained before she decided to accept the job, or the day she began to work. It’s not ‘afterthought ‘, but their expectations are illegal.
I had a boss yell me I needed to clock out before going to other retail stores for price comparisons. told my immediate supervisor it was illegal and I absolutely would not. if the company wanted to pursue it legally or fire me, I welcomed the battle. never was told again to clock out before completing that particular task
I had a guy do that saying I needed to be there at 730 job didn't start until 8. he fired me the next week
If her contract state 9am, then she has a good law suit as slavery is not legal!
two things she stated supports her stance, clocking in (actual work start time) , on the contract(an accepted agreement between parties) therefore any time other than agreed upon work hours is not an obligation. won that lawsuit 🥰🥰🥰
that depends on how much they're paying. if you're making enough it would be worth that 45 minutes
go ahead...make my day.
Bag them with no notice. Get his job from HR 👍🏼
Another bad company.
You stood your ground & were very professional. You are young & brilliant. 👑
if your not getting paid you shouldnt be working end of story
slave driver
Then clock at 8:15 lol
Here in this office we believe in wage theft. You need to be here an hour before the start of your pay…
I don't show up until 5 10 minutes before I start getting paid .......never late, don't call in.....if that is a problem....I think you will see an attorney...because if no pay no not working...
I would’ve told him and I get 45 minutes of time and a half overtime right?
The company will not exist after my lawsuit
Look at her tat
HE works for the company. Good luck!
What's going on with that 3 dot tattoo on your hand? Hmm?
I was first in....Made the coffee... Organize the job Prints... Brought donuts. Had 15 minutes alone with my Tea n Bear Claw... Before the Crews showed up
no, she's wrong. She's probably salary, which means if it's expected of her to be there at 8:15, she Should then be there...before her actual shift start. It shows whether or not you are dedicated, and loyal to your job...that's why it's called, " expectation". She wasn't "dedicated" enough to her job, and said she wasn't going to be seen in her next zoom call...
I think he used to work at an hoa
That’s wage theft which is real & not in the contract. Go to HR & tgr labor board!!!!!
Maliciously comply with your boss’ order. Get there at 08:15 and clock-in when you get to work. They can’t legally ask you to work for free.
worked a job where us hourlies were expected weekly to stay an extra 2 hours one night a week for free.
😅😅😅😅
fake
Not a good person to work for!! Stop working for him now. That’s trying to demand free wages
Our union fought to stop this
I'd go in and talk to him face to face and see if he still wants to tell me that I was late because I didn't show up 45 minutes early. hopefully he has the answer I'm looking for.
I would have already hung up that phone call and said excuse me I'm leaving
I had a job where they did that to me. I was salary and my start time was 8. If I didn’t get there by 630 am and stay til 630 pm I got written up. Working 60 plus hours a week brought my pay down to unsalaried workers who would also get overtime if they worked my hours.
Shes cute
