Am I correct in understanding that this boat 🛥️ hit an orca 🐳 with its propeller & he hadta be told from an onlooker(other boater 🛥️ ) to turn off the motor/engine after he hit it 🐳?! Fish getting killed or cut badly happens alot. Ive seen big marlins get pulled into the fishing boat for marlin tournaments and was even weighed in to submit for the tournaments. In these cases, the fish is rejected for getting a place on the board for the largest marlin. this applies to any tournament fishing award. the fish cannot have not even a scrape from coming near the blades.
smaller boats are not intended to go off shore 10 miles. this is what can happen

The whale attacked the boat… not the other way around. The person yelling to turn the motor if is doing so because somebody fell into the water at tte back of the boat when the whale attacked.
Orcas have been known to attack rudders which is one reason why we have regulations in Washington state requiring that a boaters disengage their engines and drift if they’re within 400 yards of an orca, can’t turn the engine back on until 1,000 yards from them. The orca trying to capsize the boat was probably out of fear cause it’s not a common behavior.
