The Best thing to remember is Not All people will Tip. Some won't because they can't afford to. Others won't because they are cheap. Others will Tip what they can. Others are just Plain Generous and Tip Very Generously. You have to weigh your overall Costs. It should weigh out overall. We can't Demand or Abuse people because we don't get a Tip. Let me say this, A CUSTOMER IS NOT, I MEAN NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR GIVING DOOR OR UBER EXTRA FUNDS ONCE THEY HAVE BEEN TIPPED THROUGH THE APP. PERIOD. If a customer feels more generous in tipping once they tipped already, that's cool, but at no point should these drivers be looking for EXTRA at the door. And this is coming from a former Door Dasher and Uber Eats driver.

Here's a little advice. If you're job has you relying on the generosity of others, you have a hobby not a job. Also, if you're job cost you more than you make, you need to find something better. Times are hard for everyone and it's up to everyone to take care of themselves and their own families.

I used to be doordash driver what was deactivated for no reason without cause but from what I remember we're not supposed to accept cash tips or ask for cash tips we would receive the tips automatically through the system so he should have been arrested for terrorist threats trespassing fraud and assault since he was up against the man and the man can feel the steel of the gun
If you don't like the tip, don't accept the order. This guy doesn't even belong on the streets with the rest of society. I dash from time to time because of the flexibility, and dashing in my free time has been helpful. I care about every order as if it were my own. I shop and choose the best produce, products, etc. I'm fast, accurate, and I don't mind taking extra steps to make other people happy. That's how you make platinum dasher status with a 5.0 customer rating and get the best paying offers. I've gotten cash tips but never expected it and was surprised by it. No, the people I deliver to are not lazy. Some are older, some are young mothers without cars, and some are just enjoying their time at home. I don't judge why they're not going out. I'll dash in the rain, snow, it doesn't matter. I enjoy driving. If I can help someone out and make a little money in the process, we all win. Something has gone very wrong when there are fewer people who care about their neighbors.

I have been a Dasher for one year. I never complained about tips from any customers that I delivered to.
Does doordash and these delivery companies not do a background investigation on any of these people that deliver for them? I personally don't use them bcs this seems to be a common thread with doordash and some of the other companies with their drivers.
A tip is not by force, but the last thing you want to become is a door dasher, your car would not last long, those short driving, gear shifting, is not good for both transmission and engine
Had groceries delivered I have suggested tip and guy kept slamming my stuff on the ground , now I'm going to under tip these entitled jerks.
I’m not advocating for this but I will say there’s crazy people in all industries so if you don’t want this to happen maybe tip your driver I do delivery driving a lot and I’ll say that I’ve had to drive up to 25 miles for $7 which doesn’t even cover the cost of the fuel to get there and back to the destination I’m doing my delivery driving at and I’ve never wanted to harm someone myself but if I found out those people had to spend a bunch of money cause their car broke down after that crap tip I wouldn’t be upset for those of you who don’t know the base pay for most delivery driving apps is $2-$4 for most deliveries and $6 for car deliveries and the less you tip the less drivers that are going to want to do this as a side gig meaning you have to wait longer for your food or if enough drivers quit you’ll have to go get the food yourself so START TIPPING/TIPPING MORE ON FAR ASS DELIVERIES

it's one thing If you order delivery directly from the restaurant. At least the driver is someone who works for the restaurant and there is some accountability. When you go through door dash, you could get any crazy person who downloaded the app who doesn't give a damn about you or your food or the reputation of the restaurant

These dashers work really hard. They don't get minimum wage. Please tip these workers well. They have a significant gas bill with each delivery. They have maintenence car costs. Please tip them, it's wrong to expect all this and not pay decently.

This man was extremely brazen to return with a loaded gun and assault this man over a tip. Now he's probably going to jail for assault with a deadly weapon, attempted robbery and probably a number of other charges not to mention he lost his door dash job. What he lost in tips is a hellava lot less then what he's about to pay for his actions 🤔.
these companies have multiple class actions in multiple states for stealing the drivers tips. unfortunately the drivers who don't know this are blaming the customers instead of the real culprit.
