im going to be honest here, i was a shop lifter and ive been arrested a few times. I'd get out with the best intentions , but always end up stealing again. The one time i was assigned a therapist with 12 sessions to complete , i thought it was just another money making scheme from the court. It wasnt . That therapist cared about doing her job and really got through to me . There are so many different aspects to a person who shoplifts , down to the mentality and way of life, Etc. I havent shop lifted nor do i ever feel the need to for the last 25 years .

I love how they (shoplifters) think they can just say, "Oh, sorry, my Uber is on it's way", or "I have a dog at home, you can't detain me!" Like the officer is just going to say, "Oh, okay ma'am, I'm so sorry for inconveniencing you, go on your merry way now!" 😆
You would not believe how many people try this. Some people don't understand that they are on camera threw 95% of the store.If they think someone is stealing they have one loss prevention person follow you around the store and another watching their monitors. When you start walking out the door they will be waiting for you, if you do make to your car they will get a picture of your license plate and turn it over to police, with the video you stealing.Don't think just because you got away with it that they don't have your picture on a wall next to there monitors.

People seem to think that they can simply walk into a store, fill an entire cart full of products, and walk right out the front door with them without paying for any of it ! Shoplifters should receive harsher sentences.
