thats true empathy. you can tell how annoyed he was when he heard "i paid ten bucks just to go back and forth to work." dude probably had to use a bike for work some time in his life and knows the struggle. sometimes, knowing the whole story helps in understanding the root problem.

he's a good man. I had the exact same thing happen with my dads truck he left me. a dude was supposed to fix the tire and it would be good to go. long story short I even said I would sell it to him. he said he got a job and needed it. he was supposed to pay me 100 bucks for 5 weeks. he never paid a single week and then started saying I would have to pay him $850 to get it back bc of labor and parts. 4 months he had it and he moved and wouldn't tell me where. I had to finally call the cops. he found out and parked it where he could walk into the place he was living but not until hw busted the windshield out and broke several more things. he had rigged up lights on the front, cut the muffler off, someone stole the rims and tires I had just put on for 10 bucks apiece, the battery was gone and a hole had been punched in the gas tank to get the full tank it had when I parked it and the first place
you can tell this man was listening very closely as soon as the man said the bike was for work he let out an air of breath and frustration. he's a real human being! and didn't jump straight to conclusions! I wish I could be like this !
Humanity at its finest. That is a beautiful example of listening and empathy for another human being. Whoever raised the man that had the bike stolen should be immensely proud 🥰🥰
