There was no reason why she could not get her car towed home . There was no crime , no accident and she stopped and was honest about it . That right there was just a matter of saying ok no problem . She is so humble about it. If she had the money her tags would not be on her car expired , now a towing bill . If she had lied and said it was broke down then he would have wanted to put her in jail . Damed if you do , damed if you don’t . Only 30 seconds from her house, just think about it 30 seconds will cost her $500
Why do they have to impound your car and charge you $1000 to get it back it’s absolutely ridiculous. It’s like they are robbing you but you know what they are making money. They are getting kicked back from the company. This should become totally illegal because if you didn’t have money to re-register it how are you gonna have money to get it out and then they take your car and sell it and keep the money. I think everybody should stand up and get this thing taken care of because it’s nothing but theft of your vehicle when I had my dealership, the person took a car out for a test drive got busted with drugs they impound in my car. They told me I had to pay $1000 to get it out, but it had nothing to do with me

Her car is expired, probably no insurance, as well… car is no longer registered with the state to be on the road… if she had insurance he would have let her drive it home, so it was a ticket, impound, or both… it’s how city makes its money

You know how easy it is to not realize your tag expired? It’s called a courtesy, or rather, humanity. I got pulled over with a week-expired tag and luckily got let off with a warning. Next day, went and got new tags.
