both parties are in the wrong what do you expect to happen if they're coming at you with a knife but obviously you know it was going to be something that's why you called he said oh we just need to get them to the hospital cuz he has a cut why didn't you guys get them you had three people why couldn't you take him to the hospital sad situation all around
stop calling the police for mental health issues,they are not equipped to handle the situation,do like in the old days the family handles the situation, he would probably still have been here
I think anything besides shooting him in the vital area was all that waff needed. the officer most definitely didn't show professionalism in that situation. I know I add a52 yr old man could of 100% disarmed him in a hundred different ways besides killing him by shooting with deadly intent. shame on the officer. I'm a common sense man,and common sense dictates disarm, not shoot.

Okay, A taser is a non-lethal deterrent. There's not that many people that can fight through a taser and keep going, so how would it not have resulted in a different outcome?
a copw shooting you in leg or using a tazor (that doesnt always work and cpuld be a fatel mistake for the officer) woupd never happen. when using felse defense you are shot to hot smcinter mass. thus shotting to kill. as sad as it is this man did come at a cop with a knife. i mean if he came after me or any other human they would have ecery right to shoot them. just bc someome has a mental illness doesnt give them the right not to get shot when they are trying to cause great bodliy harm to comeone else

Why can't these officers just shoot the person in the leg or arm to disengage them from the firearm or knife, whatever they have in their hands? I don't understand why the police feel the need to kill someone who clearly needs help. When police are told that the person has some sort of psychological issues, the police should Not be allowed to even have a firearm on their person! Veterans suffering from PTSD are automatically believed to be dangerous because they're Veterans. That's unfair profiling. I know it's done because I have watched enough news stories and officers have said that they knew that they may have to shoot to kill. Just like the police do now My grandfather rarely drew his gun. He was taking on Al Capone and other gang's in Chicago.
