I just kept thinking, “please don’t start that car” please just take a nap until you come back down to earth. If mom drove that car she would no doubt kill them both. She’s not tired, she’s not fit to drive. She’s to far gone right now. Heart breaking. That poor child just wants to go.
4 years clean from heroin. those of you who haven't been there really should not interject. you have zero idea. less than zero. you sit in judgment of people whose circumstances you would never understand, who you feel superior to. my husband and I had 6 figure jobs, half million dollar house until pain mgmt came into our lives. I'm 4 years clean but my husband of 35 yrs took his life 11/28/23. he just couldn't handle the shame and judgment from persons who feel they have a right to sit in judgment. educate yourselves. please. be part of the solution, not part of the problem.

This does not change her as a mother or a human. EVERY single person in the world has done things they are not proud of. EVERY single person has went down a bad path in their life one way or another. She is still a mother and is still ultimately loved by her children. Now it’s just up to her to get her life together for the sake of her children. It’s now up to her to show them she’s worth it because in those kids eyes she’s just their mom.

I’m a recovering IV meth addict. Been clean since December 13, 2012. They told me I couldn’t get clean for my son but I did. However….ON MY WORST DAY I NEVER did it in front of my son nor was high in front of him. So I can’t understand this type of stuff. My son is 22 now & he is my best friend. Also have a daughter now & I can’t imagine this anymore. We do recover. IF we WANT to. Hopefully the police saw this and arrested her.
I know what's it's like to let drugs control you. When I was a teenager, I let them control me, and then someone took advantage of me in the worst way possible, I was raped. After that, I got clean and stayed that way until I got divorced from my first husband and relapse and started down that dark hole of addiction again. Once I realized what was important in my life, I got clean again, but it has been a struggle ever since. I have been clean now for 18 1/2 years and damn proud of it.
it is a choice and a child should not have to go through that watching their parents be like that it's insane you cannot allow a drug to control your life you are stronger than that you have the willpower just change your life and walk down a different path and never look back and it really is that easy I know from experience

As a recovering addict of 21 years clean & sober I can tell you that my heart is broken for what this Lil child has to endure. And I pray that the Lord Jesus Christ Almighty will Watch Over & Protect & Bless her. Sadly this won't stop as much as this Lil girl wants it too. Bcuz the person has to want it for themselves & I've buried A lot of ppl that were never ready to stop! The only reason why my husband & I are clean is bcuz of the Lord Jesus Christ Almighty! I begged him for help & I got arrested the next day. And when I got to the jail I found out that I was pregnant with our oldest son. He's almost 21 years old & the Lord Jesus blessed us with another son as well. I pray that this mother cries out for help bcuz her daughter deserves more!!

Dealt with that all my childhood. my dad has had 6 ODs in a span of 4 years and still uses I'm 20 now living on my own sober with a 2 year old and no grandpa it FR rips your family apart and the worst part is you dont understand whats going on so you dont give up on them until they literally push you out of there lives. fuck drugs if yall have kids and are addicts drop the drugs before they drop you permanently, its not a joke, its not a disease, its a choice, be stronger than your addiction and be a fucking parent.

putting the keys in the ignition is the first mistake that gets someone in a position to get a DUI and their kid taken away. I think charging this woman would make her problems worse. However removing the child from being harmed is a necessity as cruel as it may seem. Protection is priority in all situations that include children. second is that her addiction be realized for what it is, treatable not criminal. Treating addicts like criminals is the first mistake that often sets a person down the road of hopelessness. it can and will ruin the lives of their parents, their children, and their future.
