That’s a hard situation and I have been the one to try save my mother and I was also addicted. I was addicted to opiates and I lost everything. My new home for wife and 2kids, both new vehicles, my job of 15 years and made a lot of money. I was headed to the top of my company and I lost it. I tried rehab, cold turkey and nothing could help until I found METHADONE. I have been on that for 15 years and I take it everyday once a day and that so I can be productive. I may never get off of it but it’s better than where I was headed which was dead or prison

I was addicted for 18 years, I have now been clean 18 years. My kids are 42, 36, 26, 16 and 14. My older kids know this mom and my younger ones can’t imagine when hearing the stories. My oldest is the only one who had followed in my footsteps and I have had to learn tough love with him. But I must admit being on this side of the fence I see things differently and regret what I put my children through.
God . I just ask that you just kept her protected in her darkest moments , as she find her way back home to you and her babies. in Jesus name I PRAY , AMEN.

unfortunately sometimes nothing works and they stay who they are like my mom did until the end and of course it's not what u want but it's what u were dealt and have to deal wit shes still ur mom regardless and all u can do is be smart wit her around ur things and Love her

Well actually she seems to be doing a great job as a parent look at her son 🙏🏾 what she needs is a mandatory drug program to clean her up! He can’t stop her or help her! Too far gone.

I'm looking forward to turning 66 in January, 14 yrs sobriety April 18, 2026. Nobody can save her until she's ready to save herself... And God's keeping His eyes & hands on her. We can do all things through God!!! coming from a recovered addict..God delivered me from several addictions without 1 day of rehabilitation services... Glory to God, keep loving and praying on yr mom, when yr sick in addiction u hv to want to change, to get clean first and foremost for yourself, others can influence u and even be super supportive which definitely necessary in the recovery process, again the process has to start with the addict. God has all power!!!! God is a healer/deliverer,, I could go on and on about God's goodness!!! Keep praying, being supportive and know as much as we wanna protect our loved ones we can't walk in their shoes and they can't walk in ours.. Our life choices/lessons however difficult they may be r necessary... If God knew u couldn't do he wouldn't have allowed u to go through it!!!!

As an x- addict I am sorry for your pain son your mom is very special and sick don’t give up on her she still needs you and your love she will see that you are there for her and all she needs is help you don’t give up on her I hope and pray that she gets the help she needs I know that it’s hard for her I’ve been clean for 23 years and I know that she needs you and she will get through this and she will never go through this again as long as you keep her in your prayers….

I empathize with this young man. I've been on both sides of addiction a child born into it, and also being and addict myself, what a lot of people don't know is that 80 percent of people that suffer from addiction have been molested, raped, neglected and abused which started the Mental Illnesses and when we didn't want to feel the pain we chose to numb ourselves with anything that took the pain away. As a recovering addict I'm coming up on 2 years clean and it's not easy, I struggle I also know how to reach out for help now, before now I would find any excuse to numb myself and now I talk about my past so that way I can heal. Praying that his mother can find her way to recovery and sobriety. 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
