It's not the schools job to parent children. The school is supposed to educate the children. If there is a child who is in a bad situation at home, and we all know what I mean. Then it's ok for the school to intervene, on behalf of the child. But ,parents make all the decisions for their children, end of story.

the Dad could have asked the kid some questions before reacting that way. I've known lots of small kids wear the opposite gender clothing. my son would wear a dress to play with the girls. I myself wear men's clothes. doesn't mean anything other than they like or they don't. that kid was smiling 😁 pretty sure if the boy minded it they would be visably upset and be fighting to get it off. chill out Dad pretty sure one day of playing dress up doesn't mean it'll make him join the other side.

Dad did the right thing. Very young kids shouldn’t be able to make decisions of their own unless it’s necessary. That’s how they get confused and think what’s wrong is right.

def could of been handled differently. before anyone makes a comment I was that little boy a few years ago... went to after school daycare where they had costumes that you put on by choice for one and two as quick as the teacher helped and immediately understood with no comeback shows she affirmed to the boy just a my caretakers did that boys shouldnt wear dresses...my 6 year old brain did not think I was a girl nor do I think so now but I most def didn't care to put that bright pink dress on and continue to have fun with the girls and my mom came told me to take it off when I was just having fun. something that was fun for me was made out to be as if I was doing something wrong when in reality it's just adults being weird

My son loved nail polish as a little boy around 6. My husband had a problem with it so I just got him some navy polish and we told his father he was a rock star. Everybody wins!😄

I'm just going to say that this is both wrong and right at the same time. on one hand reflecting insecurities in our kids will only make them question themselves more which could eventually lead to the insecurities that the parents were initially trying to keep them from. on the other hand, maybe letting them do stuff like wearing dresses does lead to whatever it is the father is trying to keep his son away from, and not taking action is wrong too. (the ultimate yapper I am)
