The best way to stop a child from throwing a tantrum is to ignore them and act normal . Eventually, they will get tired of trying, and they will realize that ....yes you can tolerate their sh!t and eventually they will realize that they can't break you.

I was a single parent, my son's father was not in the picture. I never used violence on my son. He was never in trouble with the law and respected everyone, he also had a soft spot for his grandparents. He and my daughter-in-law raised my 2 grandkids the same non violent way. They are the same way always checking on me and sending me hearts. Gentle parenting does work but maybe not all kids have the correct mind set.
