my daughter left her son in my care while they went to California (I was in Colorado), and one afternoon, he stuffed something up his nose. I couldn't get it out and each time I tried, it seemed to be going up further. I took him to the hospital and they got it out. When my daughter got home the next day, she was really angry with me because she had to spend $100. on the hospital visit. I mean she wouldn't quit telling me how angry she was. Would you have done what I did?
One of my other girls, when about 7, swallowed something and was scared. I took her to the ER, and the Dr. xrayed, only to come back to say, " Well, your little one swallowed a washer. It'll pass ok, just be sure to watch her so that she doesn't swallow the dryer next." 🤣🤣🤣
I got a call from my 5 yrs old son school..he stuck a rock up his nose..the er doc had to use a clamp thingy to remove it! My son is 35 now..lol I still have the rock! lol😂
My son is 23 now, but once when he about that kids age. He got a 🍒 cherry pit stuck in his nose. I managed to get it out myself.
he knew ow what he put there. lil bad asz boy💎😂
that child was amazingly calm throughout it all
a noodle 😆 what kids do 😆
My adult son was at a dinner with friends enjoying themselves when he got tickled at something mans laughed so hard he snorted a mouth full of food down his throat started gagging and chocking when he finely got the blockage up part of it came out of nose ! He had lettuce and onions and a portion of a tomato they pulled out of his nose!! He had a massive headache and nose bleed requiring medical attention. Who would ever thought that was possible.
spaghetti dinner?
I am 86 years old and when I was about 3 I put a bean up my nose and after several days it began to sprout and that's when my father retrieved it lol
It looks like he got spaghetti up his nose, no sauce?
spaghetti noodle
the baby seemed very willing to get it out. too sweet
was choking on a marble i put in my mouth. my mom was on the phone. Ended up swallowing the thing. Do not remember when it came out of me? lol 😆
oh my😲
Spaghetti 🤔
what on earth is that
There yu go what was that?
Noodle?
A Here’s one. When my cousin, my sister, and I were young. Cant remember the age. My cousin got into their cabinet that had gum in it. Long story short it was LAXATIVE GUM. We each chewed like 3 peices or more. So you know what happened next. Thats when we told our aunt what we did. There was 2 restrooms and 3 of us lol. We did get in trouble lol
What a good dad
looks like a canned spaghetti noodle
Ok. So this might be the funniest story ever, but I still get PTSD flashbacks from it. My daughter was about as small is this dude and for whatever reason, at lunch one day, she decided to stick a piece of her banana up her nose. I don’t know how long it was in her nose - but eventually, while standing next to me, she sneezed. The banana chunk hits the floor, and as bananas do, it had turned a brownish-greyish color. When I tell you…all I could think of that would be grey and flying our her nose was brain matter: she just sneezed out part of her brain! In a state somewhere between panic and full-on-fainting, I sweep her up and start heading out the door to the ER. That’s when - in her sweetest toddler voice she says - while pointing at the tissue with her brain in it that I has loving picked up to see if the doctors could put it back - “banana!” It took a full minute before my brain had enough Oxygen in it to realize what was happening.
I would take kid to nearest medical facility to have it removed. I am a non medical person and do not want to make a situation worse.
I would done the same it’s better to be safe than sorry
I read a funny story once of a Father who took his 4 or 5 year old son to the ER because the kid shoved a coin up his nostril, the dr got it out, maybe a 1/2 later the son and Father were back in the ER, the Father said his son shoved the coin up there again, the dr got it out, another 1/ 2 hour or so the Father and son, again went to the ER, the dr said, " He put the coin up his nose again?" the Father said no that he put the coin up his own nose to see if he could get it out and he couldn't. Haha. I'm pretty sure I read that in a Reader's Digest mag
When my daughter was bout 4... she kept sneezing & rubbing her nose. My sis said take her to doc... something is wrong! Yep, she had shoved a bean up her nose & the bean had sprouted!!! We & Dr could not believe it! Afterwards, she said, "ooh, that feels much better!"
When I worked in the ER a mother came in with her son and saw something growing from his nose. Long story short, apparently he had put a green bean up his nose which adhered to the membranes in his nose and sprouted and started growing out his nostril. He ended up in surgery having it removed.
Many years ago I worked at a residential school with severely autistic children. This one boy, who was non-verbal, was fixated on unraveling the threads from his white gym socks while he watched tv. We would smell something awful from time to time. Somehow we realized that both of his nostrils were severely impacted with thread-VERY SMELLY THREAD. We were unaware that when he was alone, these threads were shoved up his nose. I was one of the lucky ones who accompanied him to the hospital. He was sneaky about it and did this several times. All easy-to-unravel white gym socks eventually had to be banned from the dorm. 😣
What is the thing that was removed called?
yes kids do that idk why she was so mad totally rediculous.
It looks like the string off of a tampon…I was worried that the whole thing was in there!!
a friend's daughter stuck a bean up her nose... it germinated in the warm, moist environment- when it started sprouting out her nose, friend took her to doctor immediately... she said 'no wonder she always had a stuffy nose!'
The nose is too near the brain for anything to be left in there. if it had set up an infection caused by a foreign object, ,,,it could easily have ended with an infection in the brain. could ended badly. You you certainly did the right thing.
it was a spaghetti noodle
p
When i was small I kepted having nose bleeds one day with my nose bleeds my mom asked me if I had anything hanging in back of my throat and I said yes so she started to pull out some blood and kepted pulling finally a huge blood clot came out she thought she was pulling my brains out after that no more nose bleeds.
🤣🤣🤣HILARIOUS 🤣🤣🤣
what did this child have stuck up his nose??
good job mom
My brother stuck gum in his nose because he didn’t want to throw it out. He couldn’t get it out and didn’t want to tell mom so it stayed up his nose till it started to smell. My mom took him to the emergency room thinking he was dying and they pulled out the rotten gum. I’m still not sure which was worse for him the nose thing or the butt whooping. LMAO still
My son put a bean up his nose and I didn’t realize it until I saw the root coming out of his nose. And he put tiny Lego piece in his ear. Kids
My daughter left her baby girl with a sitter while she was at work . At dinner the noticed some thing in her nose they pulled it out it was a long piece so cellophane. Needless to say, she never went back to that sitter.
Good baby, handled the situation very well!! 👏
My thought is, what the heck is that. Yuck!
My grandson had to go to the ER he had the flu when they checked his ears they saw something. They used a spray bottle with a tube in his ear and sprayed water said here it comes and it was a popcorn kernel. He wasn’t having ear problems he just said my ear was hungry Nana.
We were watching tv and my toddler son sitting on couch behind me started sneezing a lot I turned around as my husband did and out shoots a shoestring potatoe. Started sneezing out comes another. He sneezed out four more times and I have no idea how he got all of them up there. He was fine
have you heard of tweezers??
