I think the way it is phrased means that she wasn't and hasn't been a single mother, and doesn't know yet that something just happened to her husband or partner. "Yet" is the giveaway.I mean she knows she's pregnant, so she knows she is going to be giving birth.That's no surprise What's implied is that at that very moment she hasn't received the bad news that her circumstances have changed.And she's alone.

So a woman has children with her husband and then something obviously happens, we don't know. it could be husband divoeces her, runs off, dies, etc...why are some of you calling her stupid, irresponsible, a drain on society, so ready to blast people you know nothing about.
