I counted 10 seconds before it hit bottom I think shit falls at 8 feet per second so 80 foot drop maybe 🤔 Not sure if my calculations are anything close to accurate wonder how far it really is? Would be nice if they threw chemlight down with it so we could see the bottom.

rock falls almost at approximately 120 feet per second, and it took almost 10 seconds to impact! that is one more deep mine shaft!!

Counted 8 seconds counting Mississippi's at a rate of 32 feet per second per second. A little over 1000ft down 1029 ft if it fell for exactly 8 seconds.

To find how deep a 30lb (looks like it) jagged rock falls in 8 seconds with air resistance, I used physics formulas that include drag. I estimated the rock’s terminal velocity based on its rough shape, mass, air density, and size, then applied a formula that models how falling speed levels off over time due to air resistance. The result shows the rock would fall about 273 meters or 897 feet in 8 seconds.

Reminds me of coal mining shafts IV worked on. We installed a elevator I believe the shaft was 1600' I would be hoisted up in a man basket welding in the shaft I definitely didn't get paid enough just thinking about it

Took about 4 seconds to hit the bottom, l used to thro baseball size rocks over a cliff in Tenn now where now is Cumberland Cove RetirementCenter , 4 seconds before it , about a 300 foot cliff,this was about 5 seconds
