So honestly I don't wanna see any football player sliding unless he is a QB. Yeah I also don't wanna see anyone unnecessarily getting hurt but this is also football and it's what many pay to see and what NFL players get paid well for, very well. so yeah every once in a blue moon it's fine, but I wouldn't wanna see it week end and week out. will change the game. Who wants to see receivers dropping to the ground every time there is danger. I don't think those players should be even giving up and thinking they have no chance instead of thinking that they can run the ball down their throats right through them like a wrecking ball and get more yards. That's just receivers being scared of getting hurt and I get it but the best football is No fear. Just like others in the comments said. Many teams will bench you if they see too much of that. Scared money don't make money.

Real SMART athletes know that was a very smart play. Heck, Analytics and AI would say that was a smart play. What's the probability of a WR BREAKING a tackle running towards two defenders. Now, I could see if Amon-Ra was a yard from the touchdown, and he did that...ride him, but he wasn't. come on... far far far too many players get hurt trying to fight for ONE YARD. In a sport that an injury can cost a player his career, playing time, and a NICE PAY DAY... good move on his part.
