First, the government does not TAKE property. They pay what is considered fair market value. Second, without eminent domain we would never have freeways and subways and other things that benefit the greater good. However, trying to get back taxes seems odd. If the Hess family does not pay them, the city may repossess the land - which they already own. Clerks will go crazy!! Some enterprising young person will seize the opportunity to buy land for back taxes and build a little restaurant and charge people to use the space. 🤔

what is th reason for imminent now days. they did not pay fair market value. if they had so many people would not have resisted. they bullied and beat the property from them. so says your own historical facts. first the Indians then their own people
