I remember Magic Johnson and Jane Kennedy coming to the Lansing boys club in 1979.
Anyone else notice… not 1 single jumpshot in this whole clip… in his prime i was an infant so i dont remember his game. But on tape & highlights never seen one 3 pt or 16 ft attempt!
This was one of the best real POINT GUARDS I could watch and enjoy. Only other guard similar to his passing was Jason Kidd. He just lacked the higher scoring ability, but could HELP carry his teammates.👍

Back in '79, I was a freshman at Woodrow Wilson HS, and I never watched basketball because I was "Cowboys" fan.Then, after watching Magic Johnson's Championship over Bird's Indiana State,he definitely got my attention.And when Magic hit the scene in his "Lakers"jersey,it was history in the making.And Magic just made it look so easy,and it really didn't matter who the Lakers played, Magic Johnson was up for the challenge.And I also remember that 7Up commercial that Magic& Larry Bird made as "Rookies",and the two of them revolutionized the "NBA" we thought was forever , until they crossed the River(Michael) Jordan.😀 However, Magic Johnson is still my favorite All-time Point Guard.💯💯💯

Magic Johnson..now this was THE POINT GUARD "GOD". Not only an assist magician..but could play any position if needed (yes even center!) because of his very high game I.Q., his unusual height for the point guard position, and his unique talent for leadership, passing, scoring, defending...and even rebounding. The greatest point guard to ever play in my opinion.
