I lived on the Gulf of America for a couple years. Pay attention to the flags and keep watch for people running out the water could Just be a jelly fish school or a shark there are not always life guards on sight

Advice: Don't swim near any small fish, bigger fish are hunting them. Early morning & dusk are times predators are hunting....land or sea. Fishermen & fishing piers throw out BAIT attracting fish that bite, sharks aren't the only fish to bite humans. Be aware of what's around you, ALWAYS.
I have a foolproof way to know if there are sharks in the water!! . . . Taste the water... if it's SALTY, then there are SHARKS in the WATER!! 😆😆😆😆😆

I remember when I moved to the Gulf Coast they told me that I think it was barracuda,”I think,”but they’ll come in sometimes close to the shore and you’re supposed to just punch them in the face and I was always like are you serious? Luckily, I never saw one, but that’s what I was told.
Nope!!!! I was a small child in the 70s. When my dad made me watch Jaws to which you can understand. I do not do the ocean. Love the beach, but I do not need to go in the water.

I seen a shark when i was young on the atlantic at Daytona in the shallows rite before the waves were crashing me being only 10 or 11 i ran at it thinking i could grab its tail and it swam off really fast wasnt that big but i know stupid of me lol

Most near shore shark bites happen in about waist deep water . Keep your head on a swivel , but you may never see the shark that bites you . Enjoy the water !
