I always like to have a flat top or a collar tie to avoid the sheet rock coming into a point also the ridge is sticking down, which would make it difficult to tape

yeah .you won't need those things.i can tell by how you swing that hammer ,and the brand and the style of that hammer that you don't have a clue .the first strong wind or storm that rolls in and then you may understand what those are used for.or the first time a person gets on the roof and maybe cleaning off leaves,or if a branch that's heavy falls onto the roof and what they do.ill give you another clue along with the other one I gave already.ok,they are called windties.....
