My maternal grandmother passed away when I was in HS in the 80’s. She fought cancer and lost as so many do. I would skip sports, girls, parties, whatever to be at her house every day. She was also diabetic and required shots. To help my grandfather, I’d give her her “afternoon“ shot of insulin and morphine. I was at my paternal grandmother’s house the day she passed. It was very hard on 16 year old me. She was an amazing person. All 4’ something of her. I’m nearing 55 years old and can still see their faces when I want. I know many of us miss our loved ones. This is a reminder to spend time with those you love. Life is very short.
