every net should have I'd on them all along the seams this way we know who is losing their nets at sea and can fine them accordingly...it's the only way to make fishermen accountable or we are going to see this again and again!!

You can thank the countries that don’t have the same laws as western countries. In the western world there are huge fines and sanctions imposed if your caught throwing this kinda trash into the ocean. However in India, China, and a few others they use the ocean as there garbage can

What amazing people to help this poor sea turtle! Those fishermen who dump their nets on purpose or lose their nets and don't try to retrieve them should be ashamed of themselves! Sea animals like turtles, whales, sharks, dolphins, etc. get caught in them and die! Even if they are of no use anymore, bring them back to shore and dispose of them correctly! Don't drop the nets to the sea bottom where you know that sea creatures will get tangled and die! That's not fair to them or those who love the oceans & bays along with the sealife!

l helped rescue a turtle at Honey Moon Island like 5 yrs ago. She was caught in the mud after the tide went out. Handicapped with the lost of part of one flipper she could hardly move. With the help from the park people we were able to get her down to the Clearwater aquarium where she was treated for awhile n release back into the Gulf. I know she probably would have not made it if we hadn't done something. Hope she's still doing well

I want to thank you guys for saving this sea turtle before he drowned when I see a turtle cross the road I'll stop pull over on the side of the road on the shoulder of the road put my emergency flashers on and I'll get that turtle out of the road I've always done that and US humans think we have a rough life we've got it made compared to wildlife animals marine animals think about it

a few years ago, I was in my boat and saw a turtle wrapped up in a net. I grabbed my fishing knife and jumped in. unfortunately, the turtle had passed. but I still cut it loose and took the netting out up the water so other turtles won't endure the same fate.
