Why would you need 3 bits? If the thing was spinning wouldn’t 2 have reamed it out the same way? I don’t even care.. I’m angry this was ridiculous no matter what.. πŸ‚πŸ’©

well; I'm sorry to say that it "ain't gonna work" on a steel plate. Better get a 135Β° (or whatever degree bit that equals the taper on the bottom side of the head of the screw) chamfer/countersink bit, or at least get a "couple o' sizes bigger" drill bit to create the countersink relief for the head of the screw to then sit flush with; or just below the surface of the board.

before you put the screw in take the screw bit head and put it in the hole you're going to put screw in and ream it and put screw in it it will flush it
